Two Tags with Ivytree Studio papers

My next Ivytree Studio DT project is to design TAGS with their wonderful papers, and so here are two totally different tags I had fun making.
I cut various widths of the 163/20 papers, rolled each piece up, and glued onto the base paper. Glitter glue and a gold star added, as well as a tree base and a sentiment.

Additional materials used
large chipboard tag
maroon ribbon
red and clear glitter glue
Tim Holtz 'Tea dye" distress ink

I cut an additional piece of the pink background paper at an angle, and fastened it to the tag on the edges to create a pocket for the smaller tag. Flowers are paper-pieced and edges curled.

P.S..... I love you

P.S. ..... I Love You

I hardly every create Valentine cards because – well, obvious to those who know me – there is no man in my life at the moment to give this special card to! HOWEVER I just could not resist making a card when I received my new papers from the Ivytree Elements "Love Collection". I offered the completed card to my eldest daughter who snapped it up to give to her husband (lucky guy).
I created a centre stepper card with these papers, using one of my own drawings (All my love) hand coloured with pencils - from the Digistamps4Joy shop.

The tiny envelopes were cut out of the 172/6 paper, and then small red and silver heart gems were glued on top of the red hearts, to give a bit of additional sparkle. Sentiment, brackets, and small hearts were also cut out of the same paper.

Making new crafting friends

This is my first project as a DT member for Ivytreee Studio

My passion has always been to be involved with Missionary Outreach work, but it is only recently in my life that I have been able to fulfill some of that longing. I joined the Holokleria Church in 2015, and have been blessed to be able to visit our partner church in Bochum (Limpopo Province) twice already, to refurbish their creche and church buildings. Then our Pastor asked if there was something special that I would like to do! Wow. I thought about it and prayed about it, and felt I wanted to work with the ladies of the church, and teach them mixed media craft, and at the same time create a work of art they could hang inside their church.

This then, is my scrapbook page using Ivytree Studio papers (click on layout image for larger preview), with close ups of some of the items on the page. Scroll down for material used, as well as the story behind the photos.
